As a mother and pediatric neurologist, I understand that parents want a smart physician AND personalized care. I choose to do more that “prescribe a pill and send a bill.”
I love connecting with children and their families. Without this connection, I could be a good physician but with it, I’m a pretty great doc. I have been seen sitting on the floor playing with a young patient, throwing rubber duckies for school aged kids and relating to teens. People tell me things, I listen.
I work hard to make complicated science and treatments easy to understand. I believe that understanding gives you the confidence to make good decisions.
Whether your child has headaches, tics, school problems, slow learning, epilepsy or other brain/nerve problems, your child deserves to live well. I help you be the center of the team pushing your child to grow and be more.
As a mother of three children, I know that mothering has changed my doctoring. I have seen that when a child has an illness it affects the whole family. I understand how important our children are to us.
Other than family and work, I love to cook from scratch, make jam with my husband and kids from fruit grown in our yard. I care deeply about the environment, and have made my practice every bit as green as my home. You’ll find me listening to (and singing along with) the soundtracks to Broadway musicals. Don’t be alarmed, it’s only a hobby.
